Work Summary:
-Provided extensive software trouble-shooting and re-work of problematic code, originally provided to support deionization and purification (resistivity correction) of Z accelerator energy storage capacitor array.
-Trouble-shot and corrected several hardware related issues with compact FieldPoint PAC controllers.
-Detected and fixed several software bugs, primarily relating to embedded code implementation of compact FieldPoint PAC controllers.
-Provided several code modifications to include:
-fully functional sequence creator/editor utility
-I/O channel name assignment and hardware channel finder utility
-data logging, retrieval, and analysis utility
-integrated with MAX Citedal database
-additional test sequencing capabilities to include new 'command' definitions
-reused user interfaces
-Control system hardware centered on real-time embedded control provided through National Instrument's compact FieldPoint (cFP) distributed programmable controllers.
-Verified proper activation, control and monitoring of several process 'sub-systems' comprising nearly 250 analog and digital I/O channels distributed across multiple FieldPoint PAC controller/backplane nodes.
-Various process control equipment included: valves fluid-pumps, level sensors, pressure and temperature monitoring, ultra-violet purifiers, liquid-ring separators, etc..
